It’s Not Too Early to Plan for Thanksgiving!

Have you started making plans for Thanksgiving yet? 🦃 We’re a few days into November, and Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. It’s time to start planning! I wanted to share a few tips to help take away the stress of Thanksgiving prep this year!

    • Start planning now! It might seem a little early, but Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Jot down a guest list, think through your menu, and start writing down what you need from the grocery store. Download our FREE Thanksgiving printable to help you get started!
    • Keep it simple; or don’t. If you like baking from scratch, GO. FOR. IT. 🙌🏻 But if it doesn’t really matter to you, grab a pie from the bakery and spend extra time with your family. It’s okay to buy your whole meal if spending time with loved ones is what you want to do, but if it would fill your tank to cook and bake with your loved ones, that’s okay too!
    • Shop for groceries early. Have you ever tried to grocery shop the day before Thanksgiving?! Long lines and cars everywhere make for added stress. Get a head start and grab what you can now so you can take time to drink a cup of coffee with loved ones later!
    • Pause and give thanks. Thanksgiving is a day set aside in our calendar to do just that… Give thanks. 🙏🏻 Take a moment, even if it’s just a short one, to reflect on what you’re thankful for this year.

Our November Monthly Meal Plan (and FREE Printable)

Hi again!! I’m back with another monthly meal plan and free printable!

Breakfast is pretty routine around here… Here’s what we usually have:

    • Monday: Oatmeal
    • Tuesday: Scrambled Eggs (with toast or in burritos)
    • Wednesday: Homemade Granola with Yogurt
    • Thursday: Oatmeal
    • Friday: Muffins
    • Saturday: Cereal
    • Sunday: Smoothies and Granola

Lunches are usually leftovers, sandwiches, quesadillas or snack lunches (crackers, cheese, fresh fruit and veggies, popcorn, whatever we can pull together quick).

And here’s what we’re planning for dinner this month:

    1. Slow Cooker Beef Stew
    2. Easy Chicken Parmesan
    3. Homemade Thin Crust Pizza
    4. Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup
    5. Cheesy Potato Soup
    6. Sesame Chicken & Broccoli Beef
    7. Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup
    8. Crockpot Chili
    9. Birthday Dinner
    10. Homemade Thin Crust Pizza
    11. Roast, Potatoes & Carrots
    12. Crunchwrap Supremes
    13. Pork Chops
    14. Taco Crescent Ring
    15. Beef & Vegetable Soup
    16. Pork Fried Rice
    17. Homemade Thin Crust Pizza
    18. Beans & Cornbread
    19. Homemade Zuppa Toscana Soup
    20. Corn Flake Chicken
    21. Spaghetti & Italian Meatballs

    23. Beef Enchiladas and Homemade Spanish Rice
    24. Homemade Thin Crust Pizza

    26. Thanksgiving Dinner
    27. Turkey Pot Pie Bubble-Up Bake
    28. BBQ Chicken Sandwiches
    29. Hamburger Soup
    30. Taco Style Stuffed Shells

I went back to monthly meal planning because I thought I’d shift to once-a-month grocery shopping, but it’s been working better to go once a week or so (our kids love fresh produce, and we find that it doesn’t last much more than a week or so these days).

I’ve planned for the whole month, but we’re a normal family that mixes things up from time to time. If we have leftovers or takeout one night, we’ll save the planned meal for another night (and some nights we scrap it all and eat whatever we can come up with quick!).

You can grab our FREE meal planning printable if you want to plan meals for the whole month too, or use our meal planning inserts to keep your meal plan handy when you’re on the go!
